Overnight Chocolate Chia Oats Pudding

This delicious chocolaty overnight pudding is the perfect breakfast idea for when in a hurry. Of course it can also be a healthy dessert or pick-me-up snack for every time of the day. Decadent but full of healthy fats and antioxidants (thank you raw cocoa!) I am sure it will be a favorite for the whole family.

For the pudding:

  • 2 Tbsp rolled oats
  • 1 & 1/2  Tbsp chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup almond or coconut milk (I used almond this time)
  • 1 tsp raw cocoa powder
  • 1 – 2 tsp honey or maple or agave syrup (I tried it with 1 tsp agave syrup)

For the toppings:

  • Walnuts
  • Banana
  • Dark chocolate
  • Cinnamon
  • …………………….. (anything else you might like)

In a mason jar (or in a bowl) add the plant milk of choice, the oats, chia seeds, raw cocoa powder and sweetener (honey, maple or agave syrup) and stir well with a spoon until all the ingredients are mixed together. Cover the mix (with the lid or some clear kitchen membrane) and place it in the fridge overnight. The next day add your favorite toppings and enjoy!!!

P.S.: You can have it cold or if you prefer you can first heat it up with a little liquid and enjoy a hot breakfast. Either way it’s delicious.
